Pre-sale Questions

What forms of payment do you accept?

Every transaction on our site goes through PayPal. You don't need a paypal account to make the purchase, just a valid credit card from any bank that paypal accepts. Paypal will also allow you to pay direct from your bank account if you so choose. We feel using paypal is the most cost effective and secure way for us to do handle our transactions.

What are your shipping methods?

We ship everything via Canada Post, standard mail unless otherwise requested. We  ship within Canada and the US for the time being and may add international in the near future. Sign up to our newsletter so we can let you know if and when that occurs.

 

All books are bagged and boarded and packed between two pieces of sturdy cardboard and when necessary, packed in a box to protect your purchase. We do offer additional packaging and accessories on the accessories page. Shipments do not include insurance by default but can be purchased prior to check-out. We have it listed as a separate service item that will be included in your checkout.

When will my order ship?

We typically ship within 3-5 days, if not sooner, depending on the size of the order and additional products requested. If some items are not in stock you will have the option to ship what's in stock before the rest with an additional shipping cost. If the out of stock item is back ordered we will ship the available merchandise right away and contact you of the status of back ordered items as soon as we know the status.

What are your shipping rates?

We implement a flat fee for anywhere in Canada. The amounts are based on the quantity and weight of the purchase, not where it's going. All rates can be found on our SHIPPING page. Please note these rates may change without notice so please check those costs prior to ordering. Once an order has gone through we cannot make changes.

Will there be a delay if I place an order during the week of a holiday?

On rare occasions that may be the case, but typically we can fulfill any order in the 3-5 day window we normally work in. In cases that there will be a delay, we will let you know prior to you placing an order.

Can I order items on your website and pick them up in-store?

At this time we do not host a typical store front so you can't pick up the items, but we're working on it.

Can I add a book to my order after I have placed it?

Unfortunately, once an order has gone through we cannot change it. You are welcome to submit an additional order but the original order cannot be altered once implemented.

Do you accept returns?

If you feel you must return a back issue, please contact us by e-mail  within 12 days of receipt of shipment. Credit or refund will be issued after we have inspected the returned item, providing that it is returned in the same condition as it was when originally shipped to you. Use the same box and packing material that we used in shipping. Only the purchase price of the books will be refunded. Return shipping and insurance costs is the obligation of the buyer, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven days of the date from which you contacted us about the return.

General Questions

Do all your comics come with a FREE bag & board?

YES, we would"t have it another way. We also offer, at additional cost, mylar bags and top loaders for those gems you found on our site. We are into comic collecting just as much as you are, so it's important to us.

What condition are your books in?

Since the majority of what we offer are back issues condition varies. We strive to gather the best that is available to us and give you our graded opinion of each and every book we offer.

Are all your books first printing?

Although, as you know, many books are printed as additional runs and on occasion it is the only version available. We do hunt for first prints first with variants occasionally listed as second prints. We always list if it's a second or subsequent printing with the product listing so you know prior to ordering. Otherwise, the book offered is a first print.

How do you grade back issues?

We have published the guidelines we follow on our grading page, found under the features tab. It is taken directly from Overstreet with a provided link to their comprehensive guideline pages.

Although grading is considered to be an objective process, there are many factors that direct a grade. We apply the IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) policy when grading. If you feel we have graded a book, that you purchased from us, out in left field then let us know and we can accept that purchase as a return in accordance with our return policy.

Do You Buy Collections?

We certainly do! It's how we maintain inventory. If you have any old comics, toys, or collectibles you'd like to sell, please email us at sales@line-artcomics.com. We pay cash, or, for an even better deal, with a Line-art Comics credit (with an approved account). We're sorry, but we are not currently purchasing sports trading cards or memorabilia.

Are your prices in US Dollars?

All our prices are in CANADIAN FUNDS!
